Kris Draper Steps Up To Claim Prestigious “Sorest Loser” Trophy

P-G:

Red Wings center Kris Draper told the Associated Press that “Nick [Lidstrom] was waiting and waiting, and Crosby didn’t come over to shake his hand” in the traditional handshake line. He added that, “that’s ridiculous, especially as their captain, and make sure you write that I said that.”

Surely this wasn’t an incidental misunderstanding where two players who were both in the handshake line missed each other while surrounded by about 500 people on the ice; I’m sure Crosby went to high-five Lidstrom and pulled his hand away and said “down low — TOO SLOW!” before spitting champagne in his eye.

Crosby is a whiner.

Wow, pretty amazing. Lose with dignity Draper.

Good thing there’s no indication that Crosby e tried to shake any opponent’s hands minus the national TV broadcast of him shaking numerous Red Wings’ hands. If you ask me, Draper should accuse his own captain for not waiting long enough for the Penguins to enjoy the celebration in Hockeytown. To the victors belong the spoils, bitch.

I don’t understand the hatred of 87. I get the fact that most think he gets all the breaks but this would not have been an issue if it was any other player in the league.
